Clinicians are expected to align consultations with NICE clinical guidance, but checking it live is impractical. nicely records a consultation, transcribes it, and cross-references the discussion against UK NICE guidelines in real time using Google Gemini. It is privacy-first by design — nothing stored locally — and runs offline as an installable web app.

Finding a charter vessel means trawling fragmented, dynamic websites by hand. charter-local is an AI agent that searches and automates across those sites, built on Claude and the Model Context Protocol, with web automation handling pages that resist conventional scraping.

Proves agentic AI — giving a model tools and letting it act. MCP is the current frontier of how AI systems integrate with real software.

03 — On-device machine learning

TideWatch

TideWatch predicts tides using six machine-learning models, each trained for a different forecast horizon from one to seventy-two hours, running entirely on-device across an iPhone app, an Apple Watch complication, and a widget.

Proves machine learning beyond API calls — trained models deployed where there is no cloud to lean on. A different, and harder, AI competency.

Comparing assets against macro drivers usually means a spreadsheet. econ-prism is an interactive, FT-quality analysis tool covering gold, silver, oil and equities against a broad set of economic indicators — correlation views, inflation-adjusted pricing, live data. A sister tool applies the same approach to central-bank gold holdings, backed by a Python data pipeline drawing on LBMA and Bank of England sources.

Proves turning data into a tool people actually use — applied here in a field of deep expertise of our own.
